Hi everyone! Welcome to this week’s installment of Tom’s Top 3 Tuesdays, where I highlight three pieces of content (Podcasts/Shows/Songs/Articles/etc.) that I found interesting or noteworthy from the prior week.
[Podcast] Scriptnotes - The Second Season with Tony Gilroy
This podcast just came out today! And it was topical for me since I just watched Michael Clayton last week and am waiting impatiently for Andor season 2. Needless to say, I guess I am just a Tony Gilroy stan.
I didn’t even realize that he also wrote the entire Bourne trilogy — one of my all-time favorite franchises!

The entire podcast is essentially just some screenwriter buddies chopping it up and discussing the making of Andor. It was especially interesting to learn how season 2 is structured. With the 12 episodes spanning the 5-year gap between season 1 and the start of Rogue One, they split up season 2 into 4 chapters of 3 episodes each.
If all those numbers I just threw at you like Count von Count were confusing, it gets better. Gilroy explained how there will be pretty sizable time jumps between the chapters, and they are avoiding any exposition describing what happened in between. Accordingly, rather than the slow drip of weekly episodes, Disney will be releasing one chapter at a time. 3 episodes a week for 4 weeks.
I’m very intrigued by this setup, and Gilroy discussed how he attempted to strip away everything but the “protein” in the story. Time will tell if he succeeds in this goal, or if the abrupt skipping through time is more disorienting than engaging. Rogue One and Andor have been some of the few bright spots from the Disney era of Star Wars, so I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us next.
[PDF] Rhonda Patrick - How to Train
Dr. Rhonda Patrick shared this PDF guide on physical training protocols, based on her learnings from the many expert interviews on her podcast, FoundMyFitness.
I found it to be a pretty useful primer, replete with links, charts, and easy-to-digest takeaways. In this guide, she covers resistance training, aerobic exercise, nutrition, and supplements. Worth a look if you’re interested in improving your fitness and longevity.
[Products] Oral Health Accessories
I listened to this recent Huberman Lab podcast episode about oral health (and its impact on the brain, gut microbiome, and cardiovascular system), and it inspired me to make a few purchases. I am still waiting on their delivery, so I haven’t tried them out yet. But I figured I’d still share in case you want to listen to the episode and check out some of these products:
Waterpik Aquarius Water Flosser (now 20% off on Amazon)
The podcast is rather long, so feel free to skip around using the timestamps in the episode caption. A couple other tips from the interview:
Floss before brushing your teeth
Try to focus on nasal breathing and limit mouth breathing as much as possible
That wraps up this edition of Tom’s Top 3 Tuesdays. If you made it to this point, please drop a 1️⃣, 2️⃣, or 3️⃣ in the comments to let me know what you found most interesting/useful. And as always, please like and consider sharing with a friend who you think would enjoy! I’ll be back next week. ✌️
