Hi everyone! Welcome to this week’s installment of Tom’s Top 3 Tuesdays, where I highlight three pieces of content (Podcasts/Shows/Songs/Articles/etc.) that I found interesting or noteworthy from the prior week.
Let’s get into it:
[Documentary] Becoming Led Zeppelin
My Spotify algorithm is confused.
In the last month, the influence of A Complete Unknown, Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show, and this documentary has left me on a bizarre carousel of content that only makes sense to my brain.
I’ve been a Led Zeppelin fan my whole life, but I never knew the back story of the band’s early years. This documentary, featuring a “never before heard” interview with the late John Bonham, details the band’s history from childhood through the launch of Led Zeppelin II.
I highly encourage any Zeppelin fan to go check this out in IMAX. It was definitely the oldest demographic theater experience I’ve ever had, with the average age likely around 45. I was a little disappointed that the film stops at 1969—only two albums of content meant that some songs were repeated multiple times throughout the movie—but I did love the focus on them finding and committing to their sound.
[Podcast] The Business - Producer Marc Platt talks 20+ years of ‘Wicked’
I really enjoyed this interview with Kim Masters and Marc Platt. Platt had a particularly interesting career trajectory.
Starting out as a lawyer, Marc briefly worked at an entertainment law firm before getting introduced to the legendary agent, Sam Cohn. Marc joined Cohn at ICM, working in business affairs. The relationships he fostered at ICM contributed to him becoming a film executive at Orion, TriStar, and then Universal.
He later struck out on his own as a producer, which Platt confessed was his plan all along. Platt always felt a pull towards the creative, and he believed that his experience on the business side of the industry provided him with a differentiated skillset as a producer.
He has produced a number of great films, including one particularly 🫧🪄popular🪄🫧 film, Wicked. Platt has actually shepherded Wicked since the beginning, starting in 1998. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed Wicked when I saw it earlier this year, and I have all the more reason to root for it (and the sequel) now that I am a fan of Marc’s.
[YouTube] ATHLEAN-X - 5 Stretches You Should Be Doing EVERY Morning!
Speaking of Oz, sitting at my desk for 8 hours a day (longer when I have to write this newsletter 😅) has left me feeling like the Tin Man:

These stretches have been a big help. I’ve added them into my morning routine over the last week, and I am hoping to stay consistent with them going forward.
The 5 stretches include:
Bridge and Reach Over
Lay on your back, bridge upwards, and reach with your opposite arm
QL Stretch
On your hands and knees, drop one leg back and lean down into the hip
Frog Position
Drive elbows into the inside of your thighs, reach one arm up overhead while keeping pressure on your opposite thigh
Lunge Position
Lean forward, hands behind your head, and rotate towards your knee
Hamstring Stretch
With your arms behind your back, arch your lower back while keeping your chest open, and lean forward
Happy stretching!
That wraps up this edition of Tom’s Top 3 Tuesdays. If you made it to this point, please drop a 1️⃣, 2️⃣, or 3️⃣ in the comments to let me know what you found most interesting/useful. And as always, please like and consider sharing with a friend who you think would enjoy! I’ll be back next week. ✌️
