Hi everyone! Welcome to this week’s installment of Tom’s Top 3 Tuesdays, where I highlight three pieces of content (Podcasts/Shows/Songs/Articles/etc.) that I found interesting or noteworthy from the prior week.
[TV Show] Netflix - Adolescence
This limited series is the #1 show on Netflix right now for a good reason. It just might be the most impressive show I’ve seen in the last 5 years.
A gripping, heart-wrenching story meets incredible acting meets stellar cinematography (chef’s kiss). In a bold and creative move, each episode is shot using a single take. Mind you, each episode is an hour long, so I was blown away by the performances knowing that if any one of the actors messed up, everyone would have to start over from the top. My only complaint is that the show is only four episodes.
I will warn you, it’s not for the faint of heart. It hits on some hot button topics, including masculinity, social media, and bullying.
[YouTube] Formlabs - Saving Charlotte: How 3D Printing Helps Sea Turtles with Bubble Butt Syndrome
From heart-wrenching to heart-warming.
These turtles got a little too much work done in Beverly Hills, and now they need the kind scientists from Mystic Aquarium and Adia to fashion a weighted belt to bring them back down to Earth.
On a more serious note, I thought it was super cool how they designed the model using a ubiquitous 3D printing technique that would allow other aquariums to replicate their design. 🥹
[YouTube] ai am a jedi - Reggae Wars - Luke vs Vader
This one is just downright silly... and I love it. You never know what the YouTube algorithm is gonna serve up.
That wraps up this edition of Tom’s Top 3 Tuesdays. If you made it to this point, please drop a 1️⃣, 2️⃣, or 3️⃣ in the comments to let me know what you found most interesting/useful. And as always, please like and consider sharing with a friend who you think would enjoy! I’ll be back next week. ✌️
