It’s always tough rebooting something… especially when that thing is still so fresh in people’s memory.
I need to approach this show with an open mind, because it feels like I could easily fall into “Not My Harry Potter” territory.
I will say, I am excited for them to explore this series in a TV show format—the extra runtime will allow them to expand on plot lines not covered in the original movies.

Seattleites, rejoice.
The Sonics are coming back.
All 30 owners voted in favor of expanding to at least two cities: Seattle and Las Vegas. Supposedly, both teams would join the West, which would mean re-zoning a couple teams. This move will likely take place in time for the 2028-2029 season.
Having lived in Seattle for a bit, it’s clear the city still loves the Sonics. You’re bound to run into a couple Shawn Kemp murals if you walk around enough. It’s a wonderful sports city, and it’s great to see their patience rewarded.
