[Movie] Friendship
Another week, another movie suggestion.
This bizarre movie delivered. I knew it was going to be funny, but all of the buzz surrounding it had me thinking it would be dark and twisted. I think it was just a good laugh from start to finish.
It’s been a while since I’ve been in a packed theater for a comedy. Granted, it was opening night, complete with a post-showing Q/A, so everyone there was obviously there for a reason. But still, those kind of collective experiences are what makes going to the theater irreplaceable.
I believe it is only showing in a select number of theaters now, but once it is released widely over Memorial Day Weekend, I suggest everyone check it out. I’m not even a big Tim Robinson fan—I’ve never loved his type of humor on I Think You Should Leave—but this performance was different. And Paul Rudd playing across from him was an unexpected, yet exciting, pairing.
[YouTube] The Hollywood Reporter - ‘The Office’ Follow-Up Series at Peacock Gets First Look and Title: ‘The Paper
The spin-off nobody asked for. It’s coming.
In the same “universe” (barf) as The Office, this mockumentary will focus on a small newspaper in Toledo.
Honestly, as much as I think this doesn’t need to exist, I will still probably watch every episode.
[YouTube] EO - How Stanford Teaches AI-Powered Creativity in Just 13 Minutes
Creativity is doing more than the first thing you think of.
^ Shoutout to that one random seventh grader in Ohio (actually crazy they couldn’t just get her name).
This video provides a good overview of the AI basics, showing how to engage with AI in more of a conversational manner, rather than just question and answer.
I found it interesting how he described that high performers used AI as a teammate, not a tool. This video inspired me to continue to push myself to use AI as much as possible. It’s certainly a new muscle that I’m trying to build up.
